A new look for ANCHO’s Community Link Project Hub

27/1/2014

Picture
ANCHO’s newly refurbished Community Link Project Hub is being relaunched as home to our Financial Inclusion Service on Monday 3 February 2014.  The whole community is invited to be our guests at our open day between 12.30pm and 2.30pm where they can enjoy some refreshments, meet other local residents and learn more about what our Financial Inclusion Service is about. And joining us will be Margaret Burgess, Minister for Housing and Welfare, who is coming along to see what it’s all about, along with a sprinkling of other Members of Parliament, and North Ayrshire Council Elected Members and officers.   The CLP Hub is at 42A Hunter Drive, Irvine.

Director, Elaine Gibson, said, ‘We are delighted to have been awarded funding from both the Big Lottery and the Scottish Government to expand our Financial Inclusion Service to provide Smart Budgeting Workshops for local residents struggling to manage their finances in these difficult times, and to continue our Employability Service because of its excellent track record of assisting local people into employment through Job Clubs, CV preparation and other support.  We thought The Hub deserved a facelift so that these services could be provided in nicer surroundings.’

Chair, Jackie Browne, said, ‘ANCHO’s Management Board is extremely pleased at the continued success of the organisation. We have always seen ourselves as positive contributors to the communities we work in – and achieving funding awards like this one shows us we are on the right lines.’
