Category of repair & response times

The Association has established the following target response times which contractors are expected to achieve.

Emergency Repairs (made safe within 2 hours)
Emergency repairs are those where there is a hazard to life, a safety hazard or the potential for more extensive damage to property, and should be responded to within 2 hours and completed within 3 working days allowing for difficulties in obtaining parts or adverse weather.

Urgent Repairs (completed within 3 working days)
Urgent repairs are those where inconvenience to the tenant is involved but where the situation falls short of te 'emergency' category described above.  Repairs in this category should be completed within 3 working days.

Routine Repairs (completed within 10 working days)
Routine repairs are minor day to day repairs for items not affecting health, safety or security and should be completed within 10 working days.

Reporting your repair
During office hours you should report defects directly to the Association, giving as much detail as you can, for instance
  • Your name ,address and a contact telephone number
  • Where and what the fault is.
  • When the contractor can get access to your home to repair the fault.
In some cases it may be necessary to visit your home to your home before we order the repair. we will arrange a suitable appointment for the inspection to be carried out.
