Regulator launches new performance information for tenants

29/8/2014

Picture
The Scottish Housing Regulator has today (Friday 29 August) released the first Landlord Reports for every Scottish social landlord. It has also made available a new national online comparison tool. This gives tenants and landlords a wider range of accessible performance information than ever before.

The Regulator's new reports set out how Scotland's social landlords are performing against the Scottish Social Housing Charter in the areas tenants told the Regulator matter most: homes and rents, quality and maintenance, neighbourhoods, tenant satisfaction and value for money.

From today, tenants and landlords can read standardised performance reports about each of Scotland's social landlords. They can also use graphs and charts to compare one landlord's performance against a national average and up to four other landlords. The Regulator is also making available all the charter data submitted by all Scottish social landlords.

Special and Annual General Meeting

29/8/2014

Thank you to everyone who attended our Special General Meeting and Annual General meeting on Wednesday night. Those attending approved amendments required by the Regulator to our rules and heard from our Chairperson and Auditor on our acti...vities in 2013/14. After the formalities we also named the winners of our good neighbour award (both are pictured), the winners of our garden competition and the winner of our Prize Draw who is also pictured. There was an opportunity after the meeting for tea and a scone and chat with staff.

Community BBQ

19/8/2014

We held our Community BBQ last Friday and would like to thank everyone who came along.  The event ran from 11am to 3pm and during the day there were various activities going on including:
  • The official opening and naming of the the two redeveloped blocks in Redburn Place/Sophia Crescent in Irvine.  Two new names were chosen from a competition run by the Irvine Times.  The Redburn Sophia block was named Academy View and the Sophia Crescent block was named Golf View.  One of the winners of the competition was there to receive his prize and the plaques were unveiled by the youngest tenants of the block alongside Elaine Gibson, Director and Provost Sturgeon.
  • Stall holders included: ANCHO's Community Link Project, Cunninghame Furniture Recycling Company, Irvine Judo Club, KA Leisure's Activator Van, NAC Environmental and Related Services, Seagate Rotary, Scottish Maritime Museum, Wellhappylife.
  • There was plenty for the kids to do including bouncy castle, climbing wall, mini sports day and sumo suits.
  • There was music and food and the winner of the prize draw was announced.

There are loads of pictures of the event so check them out to see if you were snapped.
